Aims:
to teach students to identify colours
to listen to a song “What colour is it?”
to practice the questions What’s this?
What colour is it?
Target language: Guess! What is it?  Do and say. Stand up. Take your seats. Great. Well done. Thank you. Make a line. Count one two. Step. 
Learning outcomes:
By by the end of the lesson students will be able:
·     To name colours
·     To  answer the questions What’s this? What colour is it?
·     To sing a song “What colour is it?”

Concept: convention of game playing. 
Recycled language: red, blue, yellow, green .What’s this? What colour is it?, touch, say, count, listen and do, listen, point.
Language support resources: flashcards of colours, coloured pencils, game, MP 3/ CD, active song

1.Stand up. Make a circle. Sing a song
2. “ Hello ”.
3.Game with a ball: teacher throws the ball to every student in turn and asks “ How are you? ”
4.Look and do: teacher shows the smileys and asks students to draw their smileys. Then checks by asking
“ how are you? ”.

5.Students do the same asking each other and clap three times

The teacher asks students to touch different items that are red, blue…and asks : “ what’s this? ”, “what colour is it?”

1.  'Kim's game'
Place the flashcards of the colours on the board.
Tell the students to memorize them.
Ask the students to close their eyes and hide one of the flashcards. The students must remember what is missing, then the teacher changes the order
Students clap, clap, clap
2.Group work: unite into 4 groups (according to colours), make a puzzle. What  is this? (It’s a flag) What colour is it? (blue and yellow)
