Aims:
To teach students to identify the colours
To listen to a song “Rainbow”
To teach students to identify the names of classroom objects
To practice the questions What’s this? What colour is it?
Target language: Guess! What is it?  Do and say. Stand up. Take your seats. Great. Well done. Thank you. Make a line. Count one two. Step. 
Learning outcomes:
By by the end of the lesson students will be able:
·     to name some school things
·     to answer ‘What’s this? What colour is it?’
·     to sing a song “Rainbow

Concept: convention of game playing. 
Recycled language: a pen, a pencil, a ruler, a book, a copybook, a pencil case, What’s this? What colour is it?, touch, say, count, listen and do, listen, point.
Language support resources: flashcards of school things, a ball, game, MP 3/ CD, active song, lego

1. Stand up. Make a circle. Sing a song
2. “ Hello song ”.
3.Game with a ball: teacher throw the ball to every student in turn and asks  “How are you? ”
4. Look and do: teacher shows the smileys and asks students to draw their smileys. Then checks by asking “ how are you? ”.

1. Teacher shows real classroom objects e.g. a ruler, a book. Repeat three times. (app 4)
2.Teacher draws in the air e.g.’ a pencil’, ‘a copybook’ and students guess
3.Open your book p. 20 – listen, point and say
4.A story time p.20  Students tell the teacher what is happening, play a guessing game, listen and point to the appropriate picture, close their eyes and play a game.

5. The teacher asks students to touch different school items and asks :  “what’s this? ”, “what colour is it?”

1.A game ' Magic eyes'
Students are sitting on the carpet, some pictures of school things are on the carpet too. Teacher says “a pen” and they must slap the corresponding picture.

2. Mingle, mingle, mingle 4, we have got four groups, pictures and numbers . e.g. Number 1. What  is this? (It’s a ruler) What colour is it? ( It’s green)
